What is this site for and how do I use it?

The City of Camas is using the Let's Talk Camas Housing website to gather community input for its Housing Action Plan. It will allow participants to keep up-to-date on the project, share their thoughts at times and locations convenient to them, and see the ideas shared by their neighbors.

Sections of this site will replicate the topics and activities of the virtual public meetings, so you can participate even if you can't join the meeting.

    To get started:

    • Click the "Register" button on any page
    • Choose a username and password and provide an email address
    • You will receive an email to validate your address
    • Return to the website and click the "Sign In" button

Why do I need to register to make a comment?

While registration is not required to visit the Let's Talk Camas Housing site, it is necessary to use many of the interactive features. We ask people to register to encourage thoughtful and genuine responses and avoid spam comments. It also helps us get a sense of how many people are participating and prevents duplicate input by one person. You can answer the Quick Poll questions or surveys and sign up to join a virtual public meeting without registering for the site.

If you would like to provide input for the Housing Action Plan without using the Let's Talk Camas Housing site, you can send comments by email to communitydevelopment@cityofcamas.us. Please note that comments submitted by email are not considered confidential and may be included in the Housing Action Plan alongside other community input or subject to open records requests.

Can I use this site anonymously?

Yes! Even when you register and post on the site, your anonymity is protected because you are identified by your chosen screen name.

When you register, you can select whether you would like to be contacted by email about updates to the project. Your email address will not be sold or distributed to third parties or used for other purposes beyond using the Let's Talk Camas Housing site.

Note: All comments you make through this website will become public records for anyone to read.

    How is this site moderated?

All comments made on the Let's Talk Camas Housing site are moderated for inappropriate or offensive content. Moderation is carried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by Bang the Table, the company that hosts this site. Moderators do not edit or alter comments, but will immediately remove anything found to be offensive, malicious, or significantly off topic and notify the poster by email.
